Meditrina 1394 South West Temple

As we started eating our second tapa selection for lunch, a beautiful melted brie along with wine and garlic soaked slices of mushrooms, I suddenly felt like we were somewhere in the West Village in NYC off Bleeker Street eating what fancy rich people eat. What a great restaurant Meditrina is. I notice that they also have a fairly interesting but less expensive front page menu with $8 dollar sandwiches and salads.

The topas run $7 or so and are the real reason to go there. Budgetwise, it's like going to a high end sushi joint. Four tapas and a delicious basil panna cotta with a cherry balsamic wine reduction for dessert pretty much filled us up, but it would be a little light for Doug Cartwright. We had the Mushroom and Brie, Bulgogi Pork Belly, Hummus Plate, Stuffed Piquillo Pepper along with the dessert. I give the food an A. The server was excellent as well.

It is a crazy location, but give it a try. It's worth the trip.
