Fin and Nora's Fresh American Food

We were killing time waiting for an appointment on 106th South trying to decide if we wanted to go to Market Street or try something else and voila! we found Fin and Nora's on the Eastern side of the same complex of buildings. Pictured here is a beet salad ($7.99) and a bleu cheese hamburger ($8.99), the idea was that we'd split the two dishes. My wife dove into her salad with gusto. Plenty of everything, candied nuts, plentiful goat cheese and small diced pieces of baked red beets. The salad was generous, delicious and a real bargain. The blue (bleu) cheese burger was juicy, on top of a nice slightly toasted fresh bun and covered with a lot of bleu cheese chunks. With the lettuce, tomatoes and thick burger, I had to squeeze it down a little bit to take a bite. It was delicious and messy and reminded me of that horrible Carl's Junior advertisement. The fries were extra good, kind of thick and perfectly cooked.

They brought us a complimentary bowl of home made potato chips which were also excellent. The place is roomy, high ceilings, fun memorabilia pictures of SLC all over the place and the servers were excellent.

The menu is extensive, pizza, burgers, sandwiches and other entree's. Total bill with 20% tip about $21.00
